In order to find the parameters associated with photovoltaic panels, it is necessary to solve equations with a large number of variables, which makes it essential to use computer resources to solve numerically and represent the results graphically. Computer simulation of solar cells is therefore necessary in order to describe and improve the photovoltaic system, i.e. to determine the best parameters and operating conditions in order to create more efficient cells. In addition, simulation can also be used for various operating conditions, such as partial shading, changing irradiation and fault conditions. This book aims to study the behaviour of conventional silicon solar cells using Ltspice simulation with an equivalent electrical circuit.
