Tuotteen kuvaus: Drawn from Memory: The Autobiography of E.H.Shepard New edition
In this autobiography E. H. Shepard describes a classic Victorian childhood. Shepard grew up in St. John's Wood in the 1880s, with his brother Cyril and sister Ethel, among domestic servants and maiden aunts, in an age when horse-drawn buses and hansom cabs crowded the streets. Drawn from Memory recalls this time with great charm and humour, and Shepard illustrates the scenes of his young life with more than 120 of his inimitable drawings.Drawn from Memory will be enjoyed by everyone who has read and loved Winnie the Pooh and the other writings of A. A. Milne, as well as The Wind in the Willows and countless other classics. It is a vivid and enchanting evocation of a bygone age, and a fascinating insight into the formative years of the much-loved artist who brought so many children's favourites to life.
